Hard Mode Adventures
I've been playing through Call of Duty: World at War on Veteran difficulty since yesterday and I thought I would share my experience.
I played through this wonderful game once already on Regular difficulty. It was not too hard. You are shot at when the enemy sees you and grenades fall at your feet with regularity.
On Veteran though, it is a world of difference. Every enemy fires at you and just you. If your comrade dies, it is because he walked into the hail of bullets raining on you. This is a real pain if you are instructed to take down machine guns because none of your mates are competent enough to help. In Regular, you might be able to throw a grenade back at your enemy when it falls at your feet. This is not often an option in Veteran as the grenades fly in flocks of three.
Does anyone else have any fun hard mode adventures?
The same thing occurs on COD:4 i was going through on veteran and at one point i got stuck in a cubicle for like 30 minutes popping out and shooting enemies going back in and hoping none of the 6 or 7 grenade indicators would blow up on top of me i was actually having fun playing through the game untill my 360 decided i needed a ring in my disc that rends it unplayable. /runon
You were not moving the 360 at all during the time of the disc mangling, correct? Microsoft admits the 360 eats discs, but only if the user is flipping the running system from upright to flat position and vice versa. Are they full of shit?
