Yay stock piling school work
Clouds are a part of our everyday life, often times people look up at them and make shapes of them, but what is the story behind our fluffy little friends? That is the question I hope to answer today, or more specifically how they are formed, what type of clouds there are and inform you about fronts.
Clouds are formed when an air mass becomes saturated, which is to say the relative humidity is at 100%. Saturation occurs when the air mass cools to its dew point or frost point. There are many specific ways clouds can be formed, including organic uplifts, convectional uplifts, convergence uplifts, and radiative cooling. Organic Uplifts are caused by the physical presence of elevated land. As the land gets higher the air mass cools by about 10° Celsius per 1000 metres, until the air mass has reached saturation. This produced large amounts of precipitation, which is evident along the west coast of Canada. Convectional lifting is caused by air at ground level being heated by the ground, as the air mass is heated, it begins to rise, expand and then cool. After the air mass has cooled enough, saturation occurs allowing the cloud the be formed. This type of cloud formation often results cumulus clouds and or cumulonimbus clouds, which resulted in large amounts of precipitation for a short period of time, in a small area. Convergence, which is also known as frontal uplifting occurs when two air masses collide, and each air mass will have different temperatures and humidity, so one is forced to rise, where it cools expands and becomes saturated, thus forming a cloud. Clouds commonly form like this at mid-latitudes and near the equator where the trade winds meet at the intertropical convergence zone. Radiative cooling is the final type of cloud formation, this happens when the sun is no longer supplying the ground with energy. The air at ground level cools, and clouds are formed in the form of fog. Often times clouds are formed using more then one of the formation types. Most people know the three most common types of clouds, cirrus, cumulus and stratus, but the fact is there are more, at least eleven more cloud types. Cirrus are high level clouds that look wispy, they form at altitudes of between 5km-14km high. Since the temperature is very cold where they form, they are often made up of ice crystals, instead of water droplets. Cirrus clouds are often a sign of bad weather. Then next common cloud type is cumulus, they form at a height of roughly 500 metres, and look like huge heaps of cotton. These clouds are often present during nice warm weather. Stratus are the last of the common clouds, stratus means ?layer? in Latin, but since they are formed near ground level, they usually appear as a grey screen. When stratus clouds are touching ground level they are then called ?fog?. Less common cloud types include cumulonimbus which are generally associated with hail, wind, rain and thunderstorms; cirrostratus which are high clouds that often cover the whole sky; altostratus clouds appear in mid sky, are grey/blue in appearance and often cover the whole sky; Altocumulus are mid level clouds, and they are often grey with one part darker; nimbostratus clouds are low level and they are often associated with light rain or snow. Fronts or frontal zones, the boundary is always shaped so it is always bending over the cold front, from the hot air mass rising above the cold air mass, if the cold air mass has moved under the air mass, forcing it higher then frontal lifting has occurred. Frontal zones where the air masses are not moving are called stationary fronts. In some cases only one air mass is moving and that is were cold and warm fronts come in. Cold fronts occur when stable dry cold air mass meets a warm, unstable sub tropical air mass. Cold fronts move roughly between 15 and 50 kilometres per hour in a south to east direction. Cold fronts are often associated with heavy precipitation along the border as well as cold weather for a short period of time. Warm fronts occur when advancing warm subtropical, moist air mass meet a cold, dry polar air mass. Warm fronts move roughly 10 kilometres per hour, bringing with them precipitation, and warm weather. There are also occluded fronts which occur when a fast moving cold front catches up with a warm front, a warm type occluded front is defined by having colder air after then front has passed, on the other hand when the air behind the front is warmer, a warm type occluded front has occurred. Clouds have and always will be a crucial part to our weather and every part of our life, from enjoying a sunny day, to having rain water come after a drought. So we should remember to take time and thing about how they are formed, what types there are and about fronts.

Indeed.
You could actually make your own proxy since you have high speed. You just need a spare comp.
You shouldn't need to worry too much about viruses with Linux. Installing a squid server under Fedora Core 3 is extremely easy.
After you have a minimal FC3 install with squid. You just have to make a couple of edits on the squid.conf, located in /etc/squid/, and, if you have iptalbes running, edit /etc/sysconfig/iptables to allow port 3128. After that, you are ready to restart iptables and start up squid. Your squid server is good to go. I really don't have to explain to much. There are plenty of squid howtos, use google, and the squid.conf is well documented. The only part that is kinda difficult is iptables. Just add this:
-A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -p tcp --dport 3128 -j ACCEPT
On the line after this:
-A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -m state --state ESTABLISHED,RELATED -j ACCEPT
If you have any problems, just post.
yup lethal is jesus in a non sacreligious way... another report...
My chosen genre for my film study was Film Noir, and the film I that I chose to do in this genre is ?Reservoir Dogs.? I feel this film is follows the genre because of its profuse swearing and smoking, the story line and that the protagonists are more of anti-heroes, and cops are the antagonists, and that it has a femme fatale. In ?Reservoir dogs,? any scene you see the characters are either smoking swearing or both. Smoking is often evident in film noir, as most movie in its genre were made before the hazards of smoking were known, and it was thought to be attractive, or suave, and they wanted the characters to be more appealing to the audience. Swearing, is not as common in the old-day film noir as verbal censoring was common and it would have been deemed indecent to have someone in a movie swear. A good example of the smoking/swearing in this movie is the scene were Mr. White and Mr. Pink are in the washroom talking. The movie follows hired men in the mafia, before, during and after a jewellery robbery goes wrong. The main focus is trying to find out who told the police of their caper and how to cope with their situation. This is a rather dark story-line and that it has anti-heroes as the protagonists, also follows the film noir genre. In this movie the cops are seen as the antagonists and not thought of as people. Proof of this is Mr. Pink asks Mr. White if he killed any cops, and when Mr. White replies, ?Just a few cops,? Mr Pink then asks Mr. White if he killed any real people. A common plot element in Film noir movies, is a femme fatal who is a female character that leads the main character to commit murder or another crime of passion, what is interesting about ?Reservoir Dogs? the character Mr. White shoots his Mob Boss Joe Cabot, to save Mr. Orange. I feel that this is what sets ?Reservoir Dogs? apart from the traditional film noir, because Mr. Orange is male, and Mr. White felt the need to save and protect him. This is just some of the many things that make ?Reservoir Dogs? a film noir. The smoking, the plot and the ?femme fatale?.
A picture outside where the light is strong, but there is a shadow cast over the actors face, makes it appear dark, despite the bright scene.
A darkened bathroom scene shows Mr. White and Mr Pink smoking.**Note paragraph two.
This scene shows Joe Cabot, drinking Scotch in an office scene, which has become somewhat cliched in the Film Noir genre.
This photo is another picture I chose to show low-lighting and smoking. In this scene, Freddy Newandyke is trying to convice Mr. White, Nice guy Eddie, and Joe Cabot that he is Joe the pot man.

Well see as I was scrolling down, I stopped to take a look at ur pictures. My eyes wandered up a little, and the noticed that phrase.
YAY! Another Report... except this is a character sketch which has been very unproperly done... but its doen and thats th main thing...
Holden Caulfield is far from your average 16 year old. He has a red hunting cap that we likes to wear, to the side. Constantly fighting depression, Holden tries to spend as much time as he can among other people be they friends or new people, at one point he was so low that he paid for a prostitute to spend time with him. One of the biggest events in Holden?s life that has effected him is the death of his younger brother, Allie. Despite his never-ending quest to be with people there are very few he thinks kindly of, and can never manage to get in-touch with them at all or for very long. Holden?s inability to be in touch to his emotions is first evident with Ackley, when he describes how much he dislikes Ackley, but later tries to spend more time with him before leaving Pencey. Holden flunked out of Pencey because he was failing all his courses but one, and it isn?t surprising the one class he is passing is English, as Holden loves to read, which is likely credited to his older brother D.B. always giving him books to read when he was younger. Holden is also a huge liar and has a great imagination, whether he be talking to the mother of a fellow student as Rudolf Schmidt, or pretending he has bullet in his stomach. Holden likes to drink and smoke, in the book he doesn?t once have trouble getting cigarettes, but when ordering alcohol, he often is faced with a problem, even though he looks older then he is. Holden has an extreme hate of plays and movies, though throughout the book he sees a couple of each, I think his hate of movies is derived from his hate of phonies because he feels that actors are just actors playing the part of themselves and are never sincere. I think Holden is in a sense mentally masochistic, he is always seeing people he doesn?t like, always doing things he doesn?t like, and rarely allows himself to get close to those he loves, and love him back. Throughout the book Holden mentions that he is depressed, I think his depression is from his belief that he is unfit to be a human and that all he can cause is harm, things that may have made him can range anywhere from his not learning anything in class, to losing the fencing equipment, but I think this goes back to his brother and that he was unable to do anything to save him. He also has an interesting insight into life, during the one movie he saw this one woman crying he eyes out at the cheesy ending, and he by that he knows that she is an awful person, as most mean people cry at movies. Ironically to the seat beside her, was her kid, wanting to go to the washroom but she just kept telling him to be quiet. Holden Caulfield has had a rough life, which makes one want to protect him or make sure he?s ok, but the ending of the novel does not satisfy the need.
yeah... stupid ontario gment thought it would be funny to make every class need to ahve an exam or project (or both) worth 30% of ur entire grade
Oh but it does...
The book begins with Holden Caulfield visiting his history, Mr. Spencer teacher before he leaves his boarding school, Pencey. Holden wants to speak with him before he leaves because Mr. Spencer was his favourite teacher, but Holden soon regrets his visit when he gets a lecture from Mr. Spencer who is only wearing his boxers and a bathrobe. After the lecture he then heads back to his dorm to read, but is soon interrupted by a student in the dorm next to him they make small talk until Holden?s roommate, Stradlater comes in. Ackley leaves because he hates Stradlater, despite the fact Stradlater hasn?t done anything against Ackley. Stradlater asks Holden to write a descriptive essay so he can go on a date with Jane Gallagher. Holden and Stradlater get into a conversation about Jane, and Holden reluctantly accepts. After going to the movies with Ackley and another guy from Pencey, Holden writes the descriptive essay, he writes it about his brother?s Allie?s baseball mitt. Later that night Stradlater and Holden get into a fight because Stradlater said that the descriptive essay wasn?t done right, and Holden took great offence because his brother Allie is dead, and the glove is very symbolic of him. When the fight is over Holden has a bloody nose, and then he goes over and talks with Ackley. He then decides to leave Pencey early, and now so he quick packs up his things and heads for the train station to go to New York. While on the train he has a conversation with the mother of one of the students of Pencey. When in New York, he gets a room in the Edmont hotel, when he gets to his room he notices that most people in his hotel are losers and perverts, so he decides to go for a drink. He decides to leave his room and go to a nearby bar for some drinks. There he meets three women, all in their 30?s he dances with, buys them their drinks, and they leave so Holden decides he should leave too. He ends up going to a piano bar his other brother had told him about, where the player is so good, it?s almost corny. He goes in and has a drink, but after running into a friend of his older brother?s he decides to leave. When he gets back to the hotel, the elevator man asks him if he would be interested in a prostitute, he accepts, but when the prostitute gets there, Holden only wants to talk. The next day he decides to call an old girlfriend Sally Hayes while on the date they run into a friend of Sally?s and they get into a conversation that Holden referred to as phoney. Later in the date Holden asks Sally to run away with him, and after Sally refuses, Holden realizes he didn?t mean it and if she had accepted, he wouldn?t have wanted her to come. sally and Holden get into a fight and he offends her so she leaves. After a couple more crummy days in New York Holden decides to go home and give his sister a visit. He sneaks in when his parents are out they have a nice conversation but soon get into a fight after his sister realizes he?s dropped out
Catcher In the Rye : A Psychological look at Holden Caulfield.
Holden Caulfield is a young man who is the centre figure of the novel, ?Catcher in the Rye.? He is very troubled by life, among other things. He is very troubled by the death of his younger brother Allie, he tends to be near people he does not like, and he is full of lies and imagination.
When Allie died of leukemia Holden became extremely distressed, and for reasons he does not know he punched out all the windows in the garage. When Holden pulled out his brother?s glove to write a descriptive essay it became very evident that Holden was not over the death of his brother. Also when Holden reminisces of Allie, it becomes quite evident that he partially blames himself for the death of his brother. I think Holden believing that he is to blame for his brother?s death is the cause of a lot of his self hate, and hate of humanity.
Throughout the novel Holden spends a lot if time with people he claims not to like in the least. In the beginning of the novel Holden spends time with Ackley, at first it is not by his choice, but later he tends to go near Ackley despite the fact he thinks that Ackley is a disgusting and rude person. Later in the novel he goes on a date with this girl who he finds is a phoney, even though he hates phonies, and later asks her to run away with him. And he spends an afternoon with Carl Luce, a guy who he had never gotten along with when they went to school together, but Holden still felt reason to call him up. On the other side Holden spoke of this girl named Jane Gallagher who he really cares about, but in the whole novel he could not bring himself to call her once.
To keep himself amused Holden will often lie as he did to the mother of Ernest Morrow, when he told her that his name was Rudolph Schmitt, and that Ernest was a great guy. Another time was when Holden got punched in the stomach by Maurice and he imagines himself being shot in the stomach and having Jane Gallagher by his side to give him a cigarette. He blames this image on movies, but I feel it is just his over active imagination. Also Holden uses his imagination to picture his future in different ways, one of them being him running away with Sally Hayes to live in a log cabin, and the other one would be were he would pretend to be a deaf-mute so he would never have to talk to anyone again.
I feel ?Catcher in the Rye,? the story of Holden Caulfield is a well-rounded book and would appeal to anyone whether they?re looking for a heart-felt true to life story of the struggle of a young man or whether they are looking for more of a dark tale of a boy?s depression. I?m certain that Holden Caulfield is a character you will not soon be forgetting, whether it is because how his brother?s death has affected him, how he spends time with people he does not like, or his wild imagination
Handbook #1: Reflections of Early Activities.
In civics, today we did two activities, the first one being a rag doll activity and the second one being a tin man activity. The rag doll was done with two people, one who remained limp while the other had to lift them, this activity was to show us that things can be accomplished much easier when you work together to achieve a common goal. The tin man was very fun, and in it, two students would pass another student back and forth between each other, while the other remained stiff. This helps illustrates how if we put trust into the system, we should be safe. But if someone on the pushing end were not to push you when you came to them you would fall, which I feel represents when the system becomes corrupt. The final activity we did was we had several of our students lift up Sarah Kennel, unlike the tin man activity, if one person decided not to do their part in keeping Sarah up, there would be more people to fill the gap, illustrating that if you have more people to rely on, if one doesn?t do his part you will still likely be ok. These activities also helped to build classroom trust and allowed to see how some of our class mates approach a solution.
Handbook #2: A Good Citizen is some one who...
A good citizen is someone who makes their community a better place. As citizens they are granted the basic rights of their land, and otherwise are expected to respect the rights of others. Good citizens should always pick-up their trash, as it will help keep their community clean safe and attractive. They should also be aware of their neighbours, and keep loud noises to a minimum when it?s late in the night. A good citizen should also be approachable so if a problem does exist it can be resolved, further more they should be involved in the community to help maintain peace and voice their opinions. They should also have unique skills and traits that they are able to bring to their community to make life more interesting and make day-to-day life easier.
Handbook #3: The only title in our democracy superior to that of president, is citizen.
I do agree with this statement in theory. But as most times, theories do not always apply to reality. In this case the president should technically serve his people as greatly as he can so he can remain their leader. Often that doesn?t happen as leaders can become arrogant and corrupt with power. Some examples of this are the current scandal with the Liberal Party and many other times throughout history. Also the president relies on the tax paying citizen for his wages, so if a president were to do something terribly bad, the citizens could riot and he would lose his power and money. When you look at the entire scheme of things though, there is usually only one leader for millions of people, so the population as a whole would need to be a million times more important then the president just to break even.
Handbook #4: Race, Religion or gender does not affect a candidate?s ability to be elected.
I believe these words are the most likely the most untrue words ever spoken, if you look throughout the history of western culture you will more then likely find a white male Christian leader. This is likely due to the fact that our land/ law system mirrors the English/French system because Canada was founded by them. Only once in Canadian history was there a female Prime Minister, and she was not elected by the people, she was only made Prime Minister because the current one resigned. Also as a whole the US and Canadian population tend to be Christian as a majority and that often reflected by who we choose as a leader. I think this is because the Christian majority would like a leader who they can relate with and they with, and a leader they believe will look out for their best interests.
Handbook #5: Jean-Jacque Rousseau vs. Thomas Hobbes.
For their argument I do not believe Rousseau is correct, if look at human nature we do have many characteristics that are no so friendly. Also throughout history there have been many act of cruelty, and if all people were born good then there would not have been. One could blame ?the system? for the immorality of mankind, but ?the system? often refers to those who are corrupt, or trying to corrupt us and if all humans were good natured that there would be no place for this to have begun. I also do not agree with Hobbes either as if all humans were born unkind at heart, the good in are world would not exist. Many things such as trust, love and compassion would not occur, and that is why I feel the truth exists somewhere in the middle.
Sure it is. I laugh when my friends have to do essays and they laugh whenever I have a lot of work. Its a symbiotic relationship.
another year.... another million txt assignments that must be typed... and I still dont have a bloody printer
In the movie Rainman, Dennis Hoffman plays the character Raymond Babbit`. In doing this is faced with the difficult task of sincerely portraying a man with Autism. To portray mental disabilities without going into imediate stereotypes can be a difficult to do, but I feel Dennis Hoffman did a very good job of it. As Raymond he stole the show, he was showed consistant characterization throughout the movie, even when he was just a blur in the background you can tell that Hoffman had complete focus. During the movie, as an audience member I did occasionally laugh but it wasn't at the character Raymond, it was his reactions to his surroundings and sometimes as simple as the circumstance. An Example of this is when Charlie Babbit and Suzanna are having sex and Raymond heres their moaning so he decides to join. Dennis Hoffman did many things to show his characters dissability. Some things were more obvious like in the Airport scene where he freaked out at Charlie Babbit because airlines were unsafe, or the more subtle things like just standing awkwardly or rythmic shaking back and fourth is what really made his portrayl of the character stand-out.
You're a poser, you're a prep, you're a nerd, you're a slut and that is all you will ever be, everyday I see people doing this to their classmates, to their peers, and to their friends and personally I am fed-up. It is a horrible thing, to judge people by first impressions and also even if they may not be the deepest, most well-rounded person now, everyone has the ability to change. Just because you don't know the story behind their face doesn't mean that they have had no strife, or problems in their life. I just cannot comprehend or tolerate why anyone would choose to treat a fellow human this way, it disgusts me, and yet we all do it.
Day after day I hear people's whispers, I hear them in the hall as they try to analyze everyone who walks by them, without any true knowledge of the person. I hear people making the worst assumptions of eachother just because it is far easier call someone a skank than to open up your emotions and allow yourself to become vulnerable, or open-minded.
I must admit that sometimes that when I see people walking down the hall, particularily people I do not get along with, I often feel tempted to think "what a whore," or whatever the predefined perception society has set out for them. But I think when we do let go of these mis-perceptions and learn to actually see people who they truly are the world will be a much better place.
I first came to realise how important it this is from my mom, she often acts on impulse, she is very carefree, lives for the moment and is often very much is the life of the party, while on the other hand I am much the oposite, more reserved, shy, usually keeping myself with a quiet dignity and when I was younger I just thought she acted how she did becase was because she is an idiot. However, a couple years ago while watching old home movies from christmas, when she was married and before I was born,I became completely dis-illusion. There in a chair, off on her own was a quiet woman, barely existing and I was shocked to see it was my mother. It was then when I first realized how resilient my mother actually is to get over the nightmare that was her marriage and can still live her life with such joy.
I truly hope you have listened to my words, and will think twice before assuming that people, people just like you and I just one dimension figues who have no depth or feelings. I would like to leave you with a quotation from Amanda Marshal's Everybody's Got a Story:
"Now who can read the mind of the redheaded girl next door Or the taxi driver who just dropped you off Or the, or the classmate that you ignore Don't assume everything on the surface is what you see Cause that classmate just lost her mother And that taxi driver's got a PHD."
Nice writing there. I believe that 'judging by book cover' happens. Although I don't believe it happens everywhere around the globe. I do believe it just happens around people that are at a certain age (young adults, teens).
Character Profiles
Alison: Alison is a young attractive home-maker who is having second thoughts after marrying her high school sweet heart who is two years her senior. She feels trapped in the house since her husband often works very long hours. At heart she is a good person but can sometimes seem selfish or greedy. She is of average height, and fairly attractive. She has brown hair and green eyes. She was raised as the youngest of three other sisters, so she often feels she doesn't get enough attention. Her parents raised her strictly catholic and she had a very sheltered life. She is 36 years old.
Jon: Jon is Alison's long loving husband. He is now 38 years old. He owns his own business, and after working many long hours he has finally got enough money saved up and his business has grown enough to hire some help. He met and fell in love with Alison in high school, and proposed to her at her graduation. His fiery love still burns for her today but he can sometimes be obsessive Jon was a football hero for the high school and college team. Jon stands just over six feet tall, and has let his muscular body turn soft.
Nick: Nick is young and attractive. He is a wild spit fire with red hair. He is 19 years old and just out of high school and wanted a job to make money for college. He immediately finds himself attracted to the much older Alison, and in turn Alison is attracted to him, because to her he represents youth, and hope for the future. He is 5'8 and slimmer than Jon making him less physically intimidating to Alison. He grew up in a broken home, giving him ideals that do not involve romanticism.
Actors:
I would like Renee Zellweger would to play Alison because I think the Alison character has similar character traits to Renee's character Roxie Hart in Chicago. I also feel she is a versatile actress who would be able to portray the complex feelings that Alison is going through.
I think Jack Nicholson would be perfect to play Jon. I feel he would be appropriate because he is good at showing the inner workings of an obsessive mind. He made this ability clear in The Shining.
Nick should be played by Ryan Gosling, I feel he is good at portraying youth and passion.
Synopsis:
A young couple marry right out of high school and now the wife is having second thoughts, as their 15 wedding anniversary approaches. She finds Jon to be increasingly jealous and goes to the hired hand for comfort, and they fall in love. To get Jon away from the house for a night, Nick gives Jon fake tickets to a football game. When at the game Jon gets into a fight over his tickets and breaks his arm. The fight is caught by a TV crew, and Jon gets embarrassed when he sees it played on TV.

ICS 3M Classes, Objects and Constructors Date:_ Exercises
For the class Circle defined as follows:
class Circle { double x; //x-coordinate of center double y; //y-coordinate of center double r; //radius }
(a) Write a constructor method that has no parameters. The method should construct a Circle object with center (0,0) and radius of 1.
(b) Write a constructor method that has three parameters representing the coordinates of the center and the radius of the object to be constructed.
(c) Write a constructor method with a parameter, an object of type Circle. The method should construct a new Circle object with the same field values as those of the parameter.
(d) Write an instance method area that returns, as a double value, the area of its implicit Circle object.
(e) Write a method smaller that could be called by a statement like c3 = c1.smaller(c2); where c1, c2, and c3 are object of type Circle. The method should make c3 refer to the smaller of the circles represented by c1 and c2 (or c1 if c1 and c2 are the same size).
(f) Write a boolean-valued instance method isInside that could be called by a statement like boolean contained = c1.isInside(c2); The method should return true if c1 is entirely inside c2 and return false otherwise.
**For the methods in d ? f, you should use methods within methods i.e. the smaller method will use the area method.
In your tester class create two Circle objects c1, representing the circle with center (4, -1) and radius 3 and c2, representing the circle with center (3, -2) and radius 5. Find and print the area of c1. Determine the smaller of c1 and c2 and then prints its center and radius. Determine whether or not c2 lies entirely within c1 and print an appropriate statement. Test all other constructor methods by creating circles and outputting their center and radius.

well... I need to combine the cats image to the one with the buttons, but I don't fully understand this class (or fields or JPaneling) business fully to begin withand with the buttons I want to have like if (food button pressed statment) { hunger=-; happiness=+; fitness=-; }
You know?
EDIT: I have a booklet that tells me how to do all that stuff, but we werent properly taught it so I will have some difficulty putting it all together.... putting together the buttons and images was hard enough
POST EDIT- EDIT: In answer to your question lethal... Everything! lol... the buttons do nothing and I'm so confused... I may document the hell out of it and hand it in not working... and hardcore to flowcharts& algorithms....
