Uhmm.... I know karma is going to bite me in the butt for saying this... and mine is a first gen, never repaired (so it's asking for a problem) But I've never RROD'd! Neener neener neener...I have had it freeze though... several times.
Not sure, I think mine just may be the disc it only freezes with Dance Dance Revolution Universe 3. And also I rarely play my 360 whereas you guys seem like xcore 360 gamers... aka I've had my 360 for over 2 years... possibly closer to 3. And I have literally half a dozen games (excluding the 2 that came with it- Civil War and God Father, FFXI, and Dead Rising which is my room mate's game) And on top of that my games were either heavily discounted: Sega Revo Rally, Enchanted arms Or I fangirled over and ended severely disappointed: Operation Darkness, Dynasty Warriors Gundam (no one ever plays with me, especially since I was without a second controller for months! T_T ) And then there is Sonic the Hedgehog which goes into both categories.
TL;DR : GoGo has shitatular 360 games ergo never plays it ergo less of a window of oppurtunity to RROD
You bought Sonic Unleashed. My condolences. If they dropped the werehog nonsense and the QTE, then it would have been acceptable.
While I'm on the subject, who likes QTE? I figure someone must because they keep putting it into games. They annoy the hell out of me.
Here you are, playing a game. Just when you get to an enjoyable bit of gameplay, a QTE jumps through a wall and slaps you in the face while demanding you press X. Of course, you did not expected any of this and fail to press X. The QTE then unplugs your console and stomps out through the gateway it created earlier. This has a way of ruining the flow of gameplay.
I can understand. In Sonic Unleashed, the worse that happens is Sonic gets knocked down. In RE5, miss a QTE and you'll be impaled, beheaded, or vivisected. Talk about having your day ruined by QTE. :)
