Trine
Anyone else looking forward to this game? I'm a little irritated that it will be not be released to PSN this week as planned, but I can't wait to try a modern likeness of Lost Vikings.
Hanpan told me he was disappointed in not seeing the weekly update last week. It's not coming out this week. I've written a spider to keep me up to date with this and I'll post any updates here until it comes out.
According to the Publisher, Nobilis:
“We’re still in the process approval with Sony,” said the rep. “The game should be available beginning of September.”
Not this week either.
Remember, every day is one day closer to the release - Lauri Hyvärinen, FrozenByte Project Lead
That's what Epic told me with the UT3 Linux client. Sony's marketing seems confused on the release date as well.
New PS3 releases: LBP: Game of the Year Edition, DiRT 2, Trine, Mini Ninjas & IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey Source
Correction: Trine should NOT have been included in our PS3 new releases Tweet this week! Apologies for the error. Source
Trine has passed QA and will be with you within the next two weeks – still trying to get the exact publish pinned down (either next week, or the 24th in other words) - Mike Kebby, PSN Store - Merchandising Manager at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe
Trine to be released on European PSN this thursday!
Offical Press Release PDF WARNING
North American TBD
Frozenbyte still clueless on NA release date.
The NA launch is totally out of our hands, so I don't really know anything about the NA launch, except that it's going to happen eventually
Trine North American PS Store release set to 22nd October
Of course, everyone will be playing Uncharted 2 by the time it comes out.
I was so busy playing Way of the Samurai 3 that I forgot to check last night.
Trine is available on PSN now. So if you aren't occupied with at least three other new games, like myself, you might have time for it.
don't forget brutal legend the demo for that was pretty fun, and demons soul, borderlands and way of the samurai 3
I was playing Brutal Legend this morning. Much to my surprise, it turned out to be very original game and had a good sense of humor to boot. Also, great music and controls.
I hadn't really looked into Demon's Souls before now. I hope it has a demo. It's really hard for me to get into RPGs anymore.
I also watched some gameplay for Borderlands today. Make me think it's a fast Fallout that's more FPS leaning.
I'm definitely looking forward to Way of the Samurai 3. It is supposed to arrive the same day as my copy of Uncharted 2. I'm trying figure out which to play first.
Trine is screwed as far as sales go though. Everyone's going to be spending their money on games that are already out. :P I'll still buy it, of course.
i was looking foreward to it since my xbox broke i've been playing alot more ps3. on a side note Burn Zombie Burn is awesome.
killing zombies is always good times, plus it has challenge levels and the gameoverall is kinda difficult i haven't gotten over a silver medal on any level. it kinda reminds me of zombies ate my neighors only you dont have to save people.
Good game overall. There's an art to managing the zombie herd.
My basic strategy starts by setting 70 zombies or more on fire to get a larger multiplier. At this point, the chainsaw has spawned. I pick that up and run around the perimeter of the herd, shaving it down. You can do this up to the point the toxic zombies rise. For some reason, toxic zombies cannot catch on fire. It doesn't make any sense, but this is a game primarily about zombies. Logic is about at home here as in organized religion. Anyway, the opposite seems to be true. Burning zombies cannot become toxic. So the trick is to set zombies on fire as soon as they rise and cut down toxic zombies.
