Windows 7 and Multi-booting
So I caved and got Windows 7, ngl I actually really like it. And the fact that I will be able to emulate more games, and use my 360 controller with them a LOT more easily.
However, I am looking for a new Linux to multi-boot with, just because it does run a fair bit faster. (7 runs faster than Vista lol) I will likely research and look into it when I have more time but I'm thinking very-crap graphics, very high performance linux.
Or, there is a fairly good possibility I will be getting a netbook for school(my notebook is a fatty and breaks my backy, and profs who use powerpoint, all of them, never give you enough time to write out the notes) So maybe have a linux one, and a windows one.... idk.
I found out however, that I can theoretically legally download OS's through my university. O_o
Ubuntu gets a new release in about two weeks, October 29th. I've always found dual boot installs painless with its installer.
As for the netbook, you could always use Google Docs or OpenOffice, if you want to use Linux.
Ugh- so I had a release candidate (most reccent) for 9.10 Ubuntu and it didn't even kind've work a little bit... K, that was exaggeration but I was hoping to have a quick 10 min install and do what I needed to do on linux. Because irony of ironies WINE can run this ancient PC study guide better than windows 7.... FML -_-
<Left Mint at her old apartment>
<Is off to download and install random KDE Linux for fun>
Cheers!
