Looks like it may be having a lukewarm reception similar to that of the PSP. No shortage of them today at my local Walmart. I picked one up along with Super Street Fighter 4 when I was buying groceries.
The AR cards really cool. I didn't expect I would have to have to physically circle around the dragon in the archery game.
The 3D effects look pretty good to me. I played the AR games on my coffee table which morphed into hills and valleys complete with water and lava pools. Street Fighter uses the 3D ability more than I expected. During some training, Ibuki's ultra was unleashed upon me. Her arm and hair very much popped out as her elbow collided with Ryu's face.
Lovin my 3DS, though I've been a little disgruntled since the the horrible dual stick adaption was announced. Will have to wait and see how that goes upon release!
They really need to start pumping some decent releases out soon though! It's gathering dust after Zelda..
I know what you mean. Nintendo gets so caught up in the new stuff that it forgets fundamentals like the dual sticks. I agree with you on the games also. Probably the worse launch titles I've ever seen. I need to buy Star Fox still. I've been caught up in PC games recently.
Yeah it'll be very frustrating if in a couple of months they announce a dual stick 3DSi of some sort. Hopefully they would do some sort of deal for the fan boys who brought upon launch!
Havent brough Star Fox yet either (though dont think its out in australia yet)! They seem to have a good line up set for Christmas which will be nice - bring on Harvest Moon :)
